Everyone should experience a week away at summer camp, at least once in their lives.
Wouldn’t you agree?
The thought of summer camp evokes images of cabins, camp songs, rising early to the sound of bugles, s’mores and tales around the campfire, lifelong friends, new experiences and memories that last forever. As so many of us can attest, camp experiences like these last far beyond the week away.
Holiday Home Camp provides children from low-income households these undeniably significant experiences embedded in a nurturing respite from limiting and difficult home situations triggered by poverty.
Holiday Home Camp serves youth from under-resourced communities within and surrounding Chicago, Rockford, Milwaukee, Madison and Kenosha. Campers also come from the surrounding rural Walworth County community. Ninety-nine percent of the children we serve come from low-income households.
A core tenet of Holiday Home Camp is one of community; our programs are intended to build and strengthen a cooperative spirit within our campers. Our donors make a significant impact on these programs and lay so much of the foundation of our work.
YOUR DONATION will be matched dollar for dollar by Lake Geneva Fresh Air Association Board Member Andrew Fritz.
